OK... I think I could help. What exactly do you need doing? A background? A header? I don't know... If you need examples, go here, my own website, of which I did 99.9% of all graphics/coding.

Hmm, perhaps a shady background, maybe with gravestones at the bottom, and a moon in the corner...?
As for navigation, I'm not sure exactly what you mean: do you mean you want new images to decorate it, or just whenever you hover over a link it highlights it, or something as such...?
