I do not know. I think they mean you cheated them out of their pets or something but It doesn't seem like you did.
And I don't think it is against the rules to not want to trade back with someone if they change their mind about a trade they accepted.

Did you send this person a suggestion, and they sent it back to you as a trade that you then accepted? If so, there is no reason for you to send them back their items, as it seems to be the other person's fault for not canceling if they did not wish to trade. ^^ Don't worry, it's happened before. If they keep bugging you, just report them, as you did nothing wrong.

Also, it's probably not a good idea to post the other user's username on the forum. Privacy and that whole thing. 8)

If someone makes it very clear that they mean to cancel or reject your trade offer, you shouldn't accept it if they accidentally left the trade open.

In this case, the person wasn't very clear because they used chat speak when they meant to tell you 'no thank you', and you didn't understand what they meant.

However, I'm pretty sure they really did mean to cancel the trade, and made a mistake in sending it back to you so I will reverse it for them.

That's not strictly true, you should never accept an open trade if the trade message or conversation around the trade makes it clear to you that they do not want you to accept it.
