Over my time on CS, (being naughty and the such,) I've watched pets grow from common to very rares. I've been wondering this question for a long time, and what are the requirements needed for the rarity to change?

Some people delete pets. It probably has something to do with this. When there aren't many of a certain pet left in the system it becomes rarer. I think. xD Hope this helps!

Every day new users join, that means newer people don't have those pets. The rarities are based on pets on accounts VS users on the site.

As example the Zebras are OMGSR because only a few 100 exist VS 162990 members.

The rarity is determined by the number of adopted pets on accounts divided by the number of accounts that exist, so basically as more and more people join the site, there are fewer of each pet per account (and so they're harder to trade for) and the rarity we display goes up.

But how what's the number that determines if it's rare or not i.e. the # would be 1000 for the pet to be rare, the # would be 2000 for the pet to be VR, etc. (bad examples, but...)
