Trading Outpost:
A place where chickensmoothie users can post what pets they want or need and other users can search for who wants a pet that they have.

Here is the format of what I have in mind for a person who wants a malk dragon:
I want:
Mall dragon image here(it would be auto inserted when a user selects the pet from the archive provided or from their wishlist)
How badly I want it:
(this would be a pull down list like the list of a persons pet groups) -OMG it's my dreamy
-I want it bad
-I want it b/c it's cute/cool
-I just thought it was cool
-I just want to trade

A user could search by picking a pet that they want to trade and clicking on it in that tab of cs. Then all the users who are interested in that pet would show up. Then the user interested in trading the pet could click a button that says 'offer this pet'. When that button is clicked, it auto add the pet that the other user wanted into a trade and allows you to add in let's from the other users side.

This would make trading easier. If you need to, I can draw what it would look like and post the link for the picture. (also refer to the bm item trading in the store at howrse.com. It is similar to this but more direct and offers less room for barter. With my method, users could find their dream pets and could barter to get a price that they desire. )

It's a nice idea, but that is coding a whole 'nother game in itself.

I've thought about stuff like that, but the problem is that it's difficult to put up a short, generalized request for what you want in return for the pet you're offering. It might work well for stuff like a 1 for 1 swap, but for anything more advanced it would be pretty hard to advertise what you're looking for. Without specifying what you want, you would be bombarded with terrible offers.

People can use the trading forums to search for and advertise trades, and there they have a lot of room to explain what they want/will offer in return. If we gave people the same amount of room in a trading post, it would pretty much be the same as the current trading boards.
