Most people get items for the fact they don't change. It would be unfair to people who liked the items at certain points also.

Besides, pets change and grow, isn't that what this site is about ^^

Our system doesn't currently support having items change on their own like that, and it would be a lot of work. I don't think we'll see this feature any time soon .
