Estimated Date for Clarification on the MA/Non Ban

Given we’re almost a day in to the announcement thread being locked, I’m curious if there’s an ETA for when we’ll receive the clarification we’ve been promised, especially since one of the posts right before the lock was extremely comprehensive with both their questions and concerns regarding the update. Is this something staff can disclose at the moment?

I've been feeling really antsy, especially as someone who can't be that active on CS anymore but is still very invested in CS--now that it's been more than 24 hours, I feel like I'm going to miss when the clarification gets posted, especially after my absolute stroke of luck when I checked on CS for the first time in a while and it was less than an hour after the announcement was posted

Honestly I feel like they might take the rest of the week to figure something out, anything longer and I’m losing hope of them rolling it back. I’ve been so invested in this site for over 10 years, but the lack of communication with this announcement has really made me think about taking a long break. I won’t be doing any trading until they can figure something out

This thread has another user asking for clarification on the transition period timeline, and Simon's response is that it will be considered as a part of staff discussion about user feedback.

I would imagine that this update could be a very long time coming; the majority of CS staff are volunteers with other responsibilities, and they'll need to take time to meet with one another and discuss the issues, comprehensively review the announcement thread and the multiple other threads about the issues, debate their stances on the issues, and come to a consensus. (I say issues, plural, because many points were raised by different users and this isn't just one thing.)

I think it's unrealistic to expect an exact timeline, and personally I would rather that staff take their time to address the issue thoroughly rather than rush to meet an arbitrary deadline.

I also don't see any reason that anyone would need to put a pause on trading, or fear penalties for breaking any rules, at this time. The "new rules" as stated have come with a transition period, and as the staff has noted that they are actively discussing the issues now, I think it's safe to assume that this "transition period" is still in effect for as long as staff discussions continue. As far as I'm concerned, until we get a full, updated answer, everything is essentially business as usual for now until we're told otherwise.
