What Does MA Stand For

Everywhere I search, this question is answered with how much a MA is worth... But what do I call this thing? Like how GWJ is Growing White July, what on earth is a MA?

I'm a returning player, so I understand nons and sorbs and all the fun stuff, but MA? Why is it not defined anywhere easy to find, even on the list (unless I'm blind), argh-

It stands for 'Mid advent', the reason you are only finding what its worth is because its just used as a standardized value to better describe the general value of various pets. The actual origin of it is mostly meaningless at this point as it has been divorced from the original context for a while now (and because the original context doesn't really matter very much at this point).

For context though, its originally from the old 'Rares List' which was a list of all the rarest pets on CS. The lowest part of that list with the lowest value pets on the list was called the 'Advent List', and one of the middle rows had a large number of pets on it due to basically just being nearly every dog from the big 2008 advent litter (and how that section got its name), that section was refereed to as 'mid advents'. 'MA' likely just started being used because it was the largest and most recognizable section at the time. The list grew a lot over the years (at a certain point MAs weren't even in the middle of the advent list anymore), and is now discontinued, but a lot of the jargon around it is still used for new user-made lists since its what people were already familiar with when making new lists.
