It's not that we're unwelcome or forgotten about, it's that we are generally put under the umbrellas of asexual and/or aromantic. I'm very happy to fly the ace flag, since it represents plainly enough that I have little/no interest in that kind of human interaction. It isn't really a wide-spread enough label for most people to warrant it being considered its own thing. But I'd just put a book on an ace flag if I were to make one.
Perhaps the same for you on an aro flag?
