    For the Chameleons, I found the artist confirming that they are based off of cocktails - here!

    The chicks are based off of cookies, seen here.

    the 2017 ponies were also confirmed to be donut ponies (:

    I'm not sure on the others since I couldn't find official confirmation; but the June 2021 guineas seem to just be various donuts with sprinkles.
    The December 2018 dog I would guess sufganiyah as well since it was released for Hanukkah!
    Since the 2019 December chameleon was also a Hanukkah release, it reminds me of Latkes with sour cream and chives!
