Global Moderators (age 18+)

What's it like to be a Global Moderator?


• Zeena: "You will never have answers to everything that comes up in a report/ticket and mistakes do happen, but that's okay and it's all part of learning. I find being a moderator is one of the most rewarding positions knowing you are making a difference by helping others."
  
• Gloo Soda: "Being on the mod team has given me a different perspective on CS, and seeing what mods have to deal with behind the scenes can really make you realize how large CS really is as a community. It can sometimes be challenging to keep up, but I've also been able to interact more with the community than before. It's tough, but it's rewarding!"

Positions open as the need for them arises, so there is no way to give a concrete timeline on when a given position will be open. Be sure to check the announcements frequently!

Excited for our new future mods! One question: what is the General Helper role?

General helpers assist users by answering general questions about the the site, such as how to use certain features or helping with questions about events. They also assist new users and introduce them to the site. Currently applications for general helpers aren't open, but keep an eye out in the future if this is something that interests you!

CS moderator positions are all volunteer roles and are not paid positions.

Moderators don't have anything to do with the art making part of the website right? They're two different positions?
