How are animal eggs obtained ?

Hi! I was wondering how animal eggs are obtained during Easter event

I know some of them are considered rare, so do you just get them randomly or do you trade in tokens? Sorry if this is a question that had already been answered

Animal eggs are accquired by random chance through banners. So instead of getting a token, you'd get an animal egg. These are usually "rare" and sought after during the event by people who want to collect them. You can't get past years animal eggs, however, which is why some are rarer than others (for example, the first 4 animal eggs from 2009 are worth a lot because of the lower player count back then and less being in circulation).
