Can I use a pet as a sona?

I'm sure this has been asked many times, but I cannot search the forums all that well. But there is one particular Store Pet I adore the design of. I was just wondering if it would be alright to create a character/sona using that pet's design with the proper credit. If not, would it be alright to use the design as a reference for creating my own sona with it?

It's perfectly fine to use pets as sonas or characters, just as long as you give credit to CS for the original design!
