When do Rarities show up?

I looked through FAQ and didn't see this question, so thought I'd throw it out here:

When do rarities show up on new, fully-grown pets? Is there a set timeline, or does it depend on the pet?

For instance, I have a few fully-grown November pets, but the rarity is still unknown.

Rarities are updated with the mid-month update, so usually around the 15th of a month!

Rarities are released/updated during the mid month update. So your November pets will get their rarities around Dec.15th or so. And your December and advent calendar pets (besides the Dec 18th ones) will get their rarities around Jan 15th :)
