Are we allowed to describe weapons?

Is it against the rules to describe weapons and what they do in detail? Without describing injuries/violence. Just the weapon's function. And are there any limits to types of weapons?

Generally, describing weapons shouldn't be an issue. If you are worried about though, you can always send in a help ticket with a sample (or the whole thing) of what you plan on posting and we can review it and let you know if it would be alright to post or not. We don't mind at all getting tickets of that sort, better to get asked beforehand than have to take something down because its not appropriate ^^

I’m thinking about doing an art contest where I would have people design a character including their weapon.
I was wondering if anything about designing, drawing, and describing the function of a weapon would be against the rules.
As for what kind of weapons, think RWBY weapons but more sci-fi and less fantasy.
