On the application itself at the bottom it asks about which position you'd be interested in (guest or official artist) and if you can commit to those requirements. Regardless of which position you put down, if chosen, you will go through a guest artist trial period with the potential of becoming an official artist down the road.

Any idea when applications will close? I’d love to apply but my computer is currently being repaired

Applications are usually open for a few weeks so don't worry if you can't apply today or even this week. There will be a post made by admins closer to when apps are closing to give everyone time to finish up. ^^

I have one more if you don’t mind :0 is it better to make designs based around a theme (like how lots of current artists will kind of make different outcomes look like siblings if that makes sense) or do a diverse selection of designs like they’re from different litters but the same colors? Sorry can’t tell if my wording here makes any sense

Thank you Yugi for all the amazing pets! To me it was always so easy to recognize when a pet was made by you, they were always so original and you always worked the colors so well! Sad to see you go, but I hope everything turns out alright! Cs won't ever forget your additions to the site <3

I have a question regarding applications. I have an external art program, but it's ibispaint X on mobile, and the link leaves me to a file I can't open on my phone or on that app, is there any other way for me to get a transparent version of the template? I couldn't find any on the applications page, and I can't find a way to make it transparent, unfortunately!

Also, does it count if you were super active for definitely over a year, then went inactive for years, and are now super active again? I just haven't reached a streak of activity of anywhere around that long since I came back, but I do know I can/will be active like I was years before!

yknow, i've been on this website for nearly 7 years now, and i've always wanted to try being a guest artist or maybe an official artist... i think might give this a go, i'd love to try my hand at designing again!

definitely sad to see yugi go by the way, they were one of my favorite pet artists. good luck to them in the future :)

FireAlpaca and Krita are pretty user friendly and free to use.
Although I don't have experience using these programs myself, I have heard a lot of good things from artists that do!
