Oekaki Not Working?

Ive been having issues with Oekaki for a couple days on and off. When opening oekaki, i will occasionally be faced with the "install java" notice instead. I have updated my Java multiple times, and the oekaki Has worked a few times, usually once i restart my laptop, but this hasnt fixed my issue this time, and I am still being faced with this "Install Java" notice on the Create a New Drawing page.

Not sure how to fix this? Cleared my cookies, but it keeps coming back, about 50% of the time. Im using Firefox, which is also updated to the newest version. Any help appreciated!

firefox is pretty finicky with oekaki - i'd suggest using another browser like chrome instead! i generally prefer firefox and use it for everything myself, but ended up downloading chrome exclusively to use oekaki with :">
