For at least the first set of ponies, the ones from February 2011, Yulynh spoke about the influence behind their designs:

The regular horses with feathers are based on birds of prey, except one!
And for the ponies it's just because my two favrotite colours are blue and black and I wantend to do a set of ponies with these two colours. :)

I'll take a look if I can find any information regarding the other ponies/horses you shared ^^

Confirmed by Lilian Nightshade, this outcome:

And this pony is confirmed by Lilian Nightshade to be based on Princess Mononoke:


There was no confirmation or specific speculation in the 2015 Advent Discussion Thread regarding this outcome, but as it appears to be a bonus for the November 2014 litter, it may be from Princess Mononoke (going off of the art on the face of the pony).


For the litter from January 2012, Yulynh confirms that the outcomes are loosely based off of their own OC's. ^^

For the horse litter from January 2011, Yulynh confirmed that the litter is inspired by Mylène Farmer!
