Rerelease(?) Question

I got this Tigerstar in a trade a while ago..


Pet's name: Tigerstar

It says it was adopted on 2010-03-14

I am just curious how/if this was a rerelease event because I’ve seen the same pet be adopted in late 2009…

If I remember correctly the warrior cats were released and were available for adoption much longer than a month, I don't remember how long, but it's probably not a rerelease, just how the Warrior Cats we're released

Everyone once Ina while you'd get pets release in interesting ways that differ from the norm. I only resently learned this but apparently when you adopted a malk pet back then their was a small tiny chance you'd get a malk dragon egg instead, and that's apparently why they are handled differently compared to other URs.

That was a neat concept, they should have a pet like that every year tbh, like a pet you only got via a small chance of adopting a pet of a certain breed or lineart, or by a certain artist?

This is an extended release. During 2008-2010 some pets were up for adoption for months instead of just 1 month, that's why this pet was originally released in 2009, but can have a 2010 date! On the archives it's shown under the first month it was released if I'm not mistaken.
There is a guide to all extended releases somewhere, but I can't find the link right now because I'm on mobile and my internet is too slow rn
