Base vs classification

Would you consider these to be cats despite the use of the dog base? I like keeping my cats separate and I can't decide if these should be included or not.

For my personal preference, I sort my collections (I primarily collect cats) by the base lineart and consider any line edits or design choices to just be a version of that base. In the case of these pets, I did not sort them into my cat collection, though I can fully understand why someone might choose to include them c:
