Why can't I send some people trade requests?

So sometime I see pets I want in the trade forums BUT when I go to the persons page and find and click on the pet it won't give me the option of requesting a trade it'll give me this instead;

So why is this happening? Also how does it get fixed so I can send trades?

Are you sure you're logged in? That happens when you're not logged in.

Just kidding, it's because the group that pet is in is locked. They don't allow trades for that pet/group.

i agree with the advice above but, it could also be you actually clicking the pet and not the add button.

I believe this is because they could have it locked on trading for wishlist pets only. You’d have to go to their trading center instead. This is the only way I can think of fixing that though so sorry if that doesn’t help at all

In this case, the pet is on a locked group to prevent people from asking for it in a trade. When the owner says in the trade forum that the pet is for trade, you could message them and ask if they'd unlock the group for you or put the pet in an open group.
