Ive had an ongoing issue with getting ChickenPaint 2 to work on my mobile devices (iphone and ipad pro) where it will load oekaki, and i can mess around with the layers and see the fancy new mobile layout, however Im still having major issues with the brushes.
The pen brush is the only one that registers my stylus' strokes at all, and even then it doesnt register me sizing up the pen to draw with thicker lines.
Ive tried a mixture of different browsers combined with all the available versions of ChickenPaint, but nothing seems to fix this issue. Any advice?

Hmm that sounds like it can't read the pressure of your pen. In the brush settings panel, try clicking the filled circle button next to the opacity or brush size slider (this toggles pressure control on and off) and see if the brushes start working.

So I’m having the same issue I had before the update that I thought was gone. At this point, I’m wondering if it’s Chrome that’s the issue. Everything on oekaki works great, and im so thankful for being able to use the slider now. However, at random, every button stops working, and I can only use whatever tool im currently on. So if I have the brush selected, the only thing I can do is use the brush. But I can’t undo, redo, make new layers, switch tools… I can’t even save. Nothing works. Im going to try using oekaki on safari to see if that fixes the issue

After the update, on oekaki, things are pushe outside the screen (see image). This happens for both versions of chicken paint. I’m on an Ipad air on safari and I use desktop mode.

Another thing after the update is that the oekaki ui is larger than before = less space to work on. Is it at all possible to add an option for players to decide the size of the ui themselves?

Edit: Another feature I’d love added is that, under the layers tab, an option called ”Rename Layer”. That way mobile users would also be able to rename layers.

I really love the new update
though I would prefer if the tool boxes didn’t close after I press them… sometimes I switch between brushes a lot in a short period of time. So perhaps a way to toggle this part on/off? Otherwise I love the new features <3

I also second the rename option on mobile devices though. I’ve not renamed layers in years because it doesn’t work for me on my iPad
