Help: Item Values?

I've been struggling with item values since joining and unfortunately still haven't been able to understand their values.

Is there a basic value for all items? How so I find a specific item in the archive? Which items are rare, hard to obtain, or have high demand?

Is there a way anybody could look through my items and tell me if I have any that are valuable, rare, hard to obtain, or have high demand?

I can gift for any help with my items, thank you!

  To offer a quick answer though, there are no set rules for all items - older items are often considered more valuable than newer items as items are not re-released every year. This means that the older the item, the less commonly they may be found now compared to a more recent item (though there are exceptions to this as well).
