Why do some users require msgs for trades?

ayo I'm new to this game so this may be a dumb question but it's pretty simple and I'm curious;

why do some trade rules require msgs attached to the trade?

it can be for different things, some people would like you to explain the trades, some people want to make sure you've read their rules, some people just would like messages to make things more personal

It's just easier to understand what exactly you want from the trade and some might think it's more polite to send a message ! A lot of people don't require them though ^^

you might not know the answer to this follow up question which is totally fine but I know coppa players aren't able to send messages with trades, are they just completely omitted from trading with people who require messages in their rules?

Coppa players have a choice of pre-selected messages to send.
