How EXACTLY Does December 18 work?

I want a very detailed explanation.

Not from a post in 2017 or something lol.

I'm hearing stuff about certain boxes giving certain rarities and etcetc.

It's kind of confusing me so I want a proper explanation that isn't outdated xD

On December 18th every year, all of the old pets ever released on the site are released again. Everyone can adopt three pets that day, and in it, you have the chance of getting any older rare pet, or possibly an 'Unreleased' pet. These pets, otherwise known as URs, are only released through the 18th of December rerelease. These are considered "Special releases", and can be found as such in the archives.

one box is VR or OMGSR, while the two others are just normal rares. as axelandria said above, from the VR/OMGSR box, you can get a new UR or an old one, or just a normal VR/OMGSR. note that store pets aren't obtainable from the boxes.
