1 Non is typically 10 MA's, so .5 nons is round 5 MA's :3
Its really confusing at first but once you start trading a lot, you learn more about rarity and terminology.

The rares list was a user-created guide to pet values, so it ranked pets by how rare and how in demand they are. In order to compare two pets, people usually express their worth in rares list terms. There were three main parts to the list: the advent list, september list, and main list (in ascending value).
An MA is a mid-advent, a pet from the middle of the advent list. Similarly, an "advent" is a pet from the advent list, a "september" a pet from the september list, and a "main" a pet from the main list.
"Non" comes from the three (four?) non dogs: the noncoon, nonjewel, and nontag. Something that was worth "a non" was worth about the same as these pets, so something that was worth 0.5 nons was worth about half as much as a non.
There's also "sorb", which comes from the sorbet dogs. Something that's worth a sorb was usually also worth about a third to half a non-ish.
The list is now discontinued, so most people don't use the pet values it gives anymore. They're considered heavily outdated, and if you want to know the worth of a pet I'd recommend checking out any of the "successful trades" threads. However, many people still use the terminology from the list, so it's definitely useful to know!
