the 3 most common values for c$ right now are:
c$16 = usd$1
c$20 = usd$1
c$100 = usd$1
which one you use is entirely up to you and what you want the most out of it. a higher rate will have a lower usd value but is usually easier to encourage usd sales. a lower rate will boost the overall "real" value of something, but it means these often become overpriced in usd (see: sunjewel. worth roughly c$4000+. a low rate would give you a high usd value (usd$250 @ 16). if cs pets could be bought with usd, the usd option would not likely seem as appealing. a higher rate gives usd$40 (@ 100). this price seems more reasonable in usd, but the c$ equivalent is now higher and the overall usd value is lowered).
please do not sell cs pets, it is against the site's terms of service. this was just an example.if you are looking for advice on
how much c$ you should minimally charge for your art, rather than the
value of c$, this thread is better suited for that than the cs help thread:
pricing artwork thread.
responses may take days or weeks but it is the best place on cs for that advice. you can also scroll through and get an idea of what is being advised to other people.
browsing the
general art shops and
oekaki art shops may also give you an idea.
