I'm boogster and I've been a part of the Chicken Smoothie Community since 2015. Now despite that I haven't done a ton of trades involving my "older" pet adoptions. (Obviously it's nothing like trading pets from before 2010, but these pets aren't exactly new either). Usually when a trade comes along involving some of my slightly older pets, I just compare rarities and also make personal decisions on how much I want the pet or item they are offering in exchange. Well now I've encountered a situation I haven't really been in before. Someone is offering what I consider to be a pretty fair trade in exchange for a rare summer event pet from 2017.
This pet to be more specific.
And after looking into it more I realized that I originally had this pet reserved so that I could swap it for a pet I am missing from the same adopt group.

Anyways, to get to the point, I am wondering if it is reasonable to cancel the trade because of the possibility I might find some who would want to swap these specific pets with me. Or, if there comes a certain point in time when people are no longer really looking to swap same litter pets, and instead it is all about seeing if both sides of a trade are fair in value.
If the latter is true, in your opinion at what point do most people stop looking to swap "older" pets and instead are simply interested in a fair trade?
