Composing messages

Okay so I just joined and I don't know what to do!

I just got some cool pets from a really nice person and I would like to thank them but I can't compose a message yet

It says I don't have the feature unlocked and I need to make a post on the forums and get it approved.

I need to know how to do this and get approved since I am easily confused.

Hey there! All you had to do was make a first post, such as the one you just made. The site moderators manually approve everyone's first post to prevent spam bots etc. before giving them automatic posting/messaging privileges, so now that this has been approved, you should have access to the private message system.
