Art Competitions Question

After going through a few art competitions myself, I've become used to the usual rules that have to be upheld with each one.

However, after looking through the rules again, I've stumbled upon a question for a theoretical situation.

If I were to give away CS Items in an art competition as prizes, would there have to be some way to prove ownership of them like CS pets? If so, how would this be achieved?

One way I would suggest proving it would be either equipping it to a pet to show that you own it.
Example being something like this so said item(s) are visible to your participants:


Another way could be you could screenshot a picture of said item(s) in your inventory and add it to your post ^^
