Rerelease but not dec 18th?

I got this lil buddy today from the pound!! my first rare catch in a while!!

I identified him through the cs pound bot on discord and it said hes a nov 2009 pet but his adoption date is in may of 2010? Is he a rerelease of some sort but not a dec 18th pet,,, please let me know! I would love to know more abt him and if he's special!!! Thank you!
