Are past URs re-released on December 18?

I've been searching for the answer to this but can't seem to find anything definitive. Are past years' URs re-released every December 18th? For example, would I have a chance to get a UR Apple this year? Any help would be greatly appreciated! :D

Kinda silly question, but what is a re release? And ur is ultra rare? I'm not sure what it means?

a valid question is never a silly question :)
On december 18th every year, chickensmoothie allows you to adopt previously released pets (so this year, you would have a chance to adopt any 3 pets from 2008-2019, with the exception of store pets) as part of the advent calendar. usually the pets you get are rare-very rare, and each year a new special pet called a UR (un-released) is added to the website. UR pets can only be adopted from the dec 18th advent box. you can find the UR pets from past years in the archives under the 'special releases' tab.

so, basically, dec 18 is just a chance at free rares! which is pretty awesome!

Thank you so much! ♥ Fyi, you made my sister's day because she still has a (tiny) chance to get another UR Apple...she had one back in 2008 or 2009 but deleted it because she didn't know what it was. >__>
