Help me with trades/pets?

Hello! I really hope I am not being a bother, but I would really like some tips after just starting off in this game. I studied the rarity lists and such, so I understand value but getting any trades at all is so hard! I only have pets from this month's current adopt, so no one is quite interested in trading for them, even if they are just for mere commons. Any tips to get trades/avoid this? Will I just have to wait until the rarities on them are released so I can trade them? D:

i would go to free adoption centers and get other pets that may be a bit older or even more rare and work on trading those up. i was able to get quite a few rares knocked off my list by simply offering a few uncommon from a similar year. there are also usually some giveaways going on that you can enter for some free stuff as well! halloween and other event pets are also good ones to keep an eye on--the ones you can get free or from the banner will likely end up being fairly common, and those you have to trade tokens for are usually rare or uncommon. of course, these rarities won't be official for a while, but it's a good rule of thumb to follow that token pets are more valuable than the free dailies.
