Question about my OMGSR Zebra?

So I just got an OMGSR Zebra but it was originally released in 2009 right? Why does mine say "Adopted: 2015-09-04"
I know re-releases are released on Dec 18th. So I'm confused or am I missing something? lol

There is a very low chance that you can adopt a zebra with the monthly horses c:
Whoever the original owner was must have gotten very lucky and adopted a Zebra along with the monthly litter of horses^^
