A revote?

I feel like the vote concerning the rares list should have been brought to the attention of the entire community on the front page rather than stuffed into the forums and never mentioned in the news. I had no idea that it had been even cancelled until I was thinking about doing some trades. I mean.... yeah cool, we no longer have a list and older pets might be gotten for less than they were going.. but not letting the entire community in on the fact that it might be being discontinued? That doesn't seem right to me. It should have been mentioned in the news :-/ just my opinion on that matter. I would have voted for restructuring. (or keeping it the same, either way)

I feel like the front page news should be more than 'this months pets and store pets are out' ... any changes to the site or potential changes should be announced here as well. It is called 'site news' after all.

The rares list is/was entirely user-made and not run or endorsed at all by staff, and staff also had nothing to do with the poll or the final decision to discontinue the thread. Thus there was no mention of it on the front page or elsewhere outside of the forums because the news feed is for official site news, such as pet releases and holiday events, and not announcements concerning unofficial community-run projects.

Exactly what Schuyler said. The whole list discontinuation/change had also been going on for months beforehand, especially with them trying to redo all of the tiers and place pets, it was a very large topic withing the community and was hard to miss, especially when using the fair trade thread. Having a revote would be pointless as people may just ask for revotes until their desired outcome comes out.
