S o, i adopted an egg. Is it supposed to be like a surprise of what it is?? Or am i able to tell what it’s gonna be?

You can typically tell, at the very least, what species it is based on the line art of the egg, as the different hatchery species have different eggs. Sometimes you'll get chickens, or chameleons, or dragons!

In your case, since you joined later in the month, you may be able to tell what the egg will grow into if you happen to scroll through the archive and see which pets have already grown.
