Here are some ways to get pets besides the monthly adopts:
CS Free Adoptions - pets/items are given away for free c:
The pound is also a way to get pets/items. It opens at random times
You can also open a trading thread if you're interested in trading for pets! Don't forget to read the rules though ^^
