Item trades

I was wondering how people decide fairness in item trades? I know some people will trade pets for items, some items for items, and some don't trade items at all. It's hard for me to understand with lack of dates or rarity listed! I personally don't care for items at all (except the animal easter eggs, I may get into that) and just stock pile them in case someone wants to trade pets for items or give them as gifts if someone wants them.

I always judge a trade for items based on the amount of items as well as the dates (you can find this in the archive, though I think they need a better way of seeing/organising your collection). I think it's a lot harder to trade items for pets, and for that it's both personal value e.g. is this item physically appealing to me? As well as going by dates, but some pets players will want a lot of items for.

For trades it's always worth asking in this thread if it's fair, and there is also this thread which gives some insight into item rarity! Hope this helps.
