Making photos in posts bigger

Postby Corrupted.png » Wed Apr 10, 2019 4:51 pm

Hello! I've recently found how to add photos to my posts, but I'm not sure how to make them bigger/their original size. I'd love to show off the art I've drawn and the detail, but I'm not sure how. It'd be great if someone could help me figure out the problem! Thanks!

this is probably just because of the size of your image. you can use sites like lunapic.com or online-image-editor.com to edit the image to make it bigger.

Images in posts will show up the same size as the original image - unless the original is wider than what the post width allows, in which case the image will be scaled down to fit within the post area. There is no way to make an image show up larger than the post area, though you can always provide a link to the image that someone can click if they wish to see the full size! I've found the width to be around 740-ish pixels on my screen (give or take a bit, it's difficult to get an exact measurement), but of course that will vary depending on screen size; a phone or tablet will have much less space than a desktop computer. If your original image is already small and you would just like it to be bigger, you'll need to do that in an image editing program - though scaling up images will sometimes lower the quality.

Thank you for the info! I'll keep an eye out on the quality and resolutions.

I would just like to add that using sites like Lunapic and Ezgif to resize images would require to upload them to a image hosting site afterwards — such as Imgur. This is because those images expire after a while, if you take them directly off of their designated sites.

i use gifgif!. it has a slider too so it's a lot easier to use because you get to be specific without having exact dimensions :D
it also pre-hosts ur image for u and has a bunch of other tools too! (and ofc it works on gifs! :D)
