What are the chances of a very rare turning OMGSR

I've got the punk dog set and someone said that they've got the potential to turn OMGSR

I'd like to know the chance of this in case I want to trade them off or wait for them for them to become OMGSR!!!

i don’t think there’s really any definitive way to officially gauge the likeliness of something going up one rank in rarity. rarity is, i’m pretty sure, calculated by the amount of that pet in circulation, so the amount of punk dogs in active accounts would have to decrease for that to happen.

Pet rarity is based off of how many of the pets exist on active accounts vs. the number of total active accounts. And since neither to total number of pets (or number on active accounts) or the number of active accounts are shared, we can only guess as to if or when a pet will change rarities.

That said, since store pets are not re-released because they are bought with real money, all store pets would potentially becomes OMGsr are some point, as some end up on dead accounts and lessen the number on active accounts, and there are no more released to fill in for that. Thats why store pets tend to increase in value over time regardless. The punk dogs will likely turn OMGsr eventually but, considering not even all of the 2009 store pets are OMGsr yet, its probably not going to be especially soon. There were also likely a lot more store pets bought in 2010 as opposed to 2009, and that will also lengthen the amount of time it would take.

Theres really no way to say for sure, so its really just up to you if you want to keep them or trade them.

It does not have to decrease. The more members CS gets, the less there are of the pet in active accounts. We have rarities change on pets quite often depending on this. Not usually large ones, but pets go from uncommon to rare, from common to uncommon, etc. There's a thread specifically for charting them.
