Question

Postby Lucky The Dog » Sun Mar 24, 2019 7:24 am

I was just wondering about a couple of things:

My first question is.... when do you normally open staff applications and is there a certain amount of time you have to be on CS before applying?

My second question is... how long before a newer user may post images without having to wait for CS staff to approve it?

My third question is.... are we allowed to say we a minor, teen,or adult? I noticed a lot of users put minor, teen,or adult in their signature. I do understand the age part since it's to protect the users.

I don't think I have any more questions. I appreciate the help!

Hey there,

There's no set time for when staff applications open, but it often takes a year or two for positions to open up again after their last hiring. However, it really all depends on what's needed currently! When staff applications open there will be an announcement on the forum so all eligible users can apply. c:

There is typically a required account age. Often it is 6 to 8 months, in addition to other requirements like having around 800 or more posts, being active, and often being of a certain age for legal reasons.

It usually takes about a week for the image restrictions on new accounts to wear off, sorry for the inconvenience!

Saying things such as teen, adult, minor, etc is fine. It is ok to communicate that vague sense of age so that people understand a little about you and don't end up accidentally getting uncomfortable (some adults feel uncomfortable talking to kids in PM and vice versa, which is fine). We just ask you avoid using actual age ranges or numbers. In the past users could say things like (13-15) or 12+, but this lead to it being quite obvious how old some users were. As such we avoid numbers all together, including 18+, so that kids are not tempted to follow suit which more revealing statements.
