Showing 2nd and 3rd gen parents in archive

I love browsing the archive and seeing the 3rd and 2nd gen outcomes, but it is tedious to search for who the parents were and being able to easily see what offspring got traits from the parents.

Would it be possible to add pictures of the parents along side the newborn images?

I knew about that, but it is not up to date always as much as the onsite archive is.

Also, if it is on the wiki, why cant it also be in the archive to keep it consistant?

Support. This would be so handy to just view them in the archives. It is more difficult to look through and navigate the wiki than the archives and the wiki often takes longer to update.

Honestly I feel like the archive isn't really for listing the connections between designs? Idk, it's just not something that's done there for anything else, like animal eggs or blender pets or plushies or GUPPS.

I'm sorry the wiki isn't currently as up to date as possible, I'm slowly trying to replace all the code + get out more current versions of that info, but it's quite slow going.
Revamping the 2nd/3rd gen pages in on my to-do list though. Hopefully when I can tackle them they will work for you better :')
I'm planning to add navigation between years directly onto the pages, pretty up the formatting with tables, and making sure those archive links are consistent and concise.

The way I view it, it shows the parents on the adopt page, why not archive. If users support it, I dont see how this could be hurtful at all. Can you bring this to the other admins attention so we can get some more input please

Support, but I can see both sides of the argument. On the one hand, having them shown in the archive with their original dates would be useful if you're the kind of person that likes to have a complete "family" of pets.
But on the other hand, I can see how it might be confusing to some newer players. If you're just skimming through the archive looking for pets to add to your wishlist, you might not notice the original date of the parents listed, so you might assume that they come from a different date than they really do. This would be especially problematic for the given month's trade thread, as you might get users asking for the parents, assuming they just missed them in their adopts, thus causing people to break rules and just generally create confusion.
Really, it's not that difficult to find some people willing to help locate the parents in the archive if you're having trouble. I can see its uses, but there would be flaws also.
