Indeed to this! Although, there is a chance they could come out to be rare.
A good example is the Halloween Event 2011; multiple pets were released and all turned out to be rare.

Of course there were less players on the site back then, but it's possible that because there were multiple outcomes, each one caused the probability of them being more common to go down since there was a less likely chance to get the same one over and over. Maybe that will happen this year given we so far have two dice dogs and a lightbulb dog!

I could be wrong though, and the dogs could turn out to be uncommon, or even common at this rate, but that's always a mystery.
And it adds an extra factor in with trading. Do you overpay to get a pet that ends up being common and loose out on some valuable pets, or do you trade a few commons away for what turns out to be a very Rare!
Do you wait, or take the risk?
