Does the pound ever open?

I'm pretty new here, and I've been checking the pound every during different times. It always says that it will open in six hours or something like that...I don't understand why it's not open all the time or when it opens at all. How do you know when it opens?

The pound opens multiple times a day. It will say less time as it gets closer to opening.

It counts down, and starts telling you exactly how much longer until the pound when there's 2 hours left. You kinda have to be lucky, but it opens at least twice a day. You just gotta keep checking, it will open at more convinent times for your timezone on some days than others.
