You can advertise the website here and get people's opinion on it!

Just be sure to state what you're wanting people to do so they can give you proper feedback.

It's not a website game like CS though, that's why I'm in doubt whether it's allowed or where I should put it. It's via Facebook or Android/iOs devices.

Well, just because it's not similar doesn't necessarily mean it won't be allowed. A lot of times there are many different ideas to websites people ask for feedback on.
Could be a site they created to help get better dictionary results, some might ask if their art website is easy to navigate, others may want to know and dicuss the opinion of games upon another website, some users here create their own phone apps and want users to test out their games, etc.

However, if it requires you to share personal inofrmation such as your full name, or your phone number, it isn't allowed.
If it requires you to share:
Tess wrote:Your full name or last name
Your age, grade, or birth year
Your address, suburb, town or city
The name or location of your school/club etc
Photos of yourself or your family/friends (except if your faces aren't visible)
Your email address or phone number, as well as Skype, kik or other contact information
Full names of your family/friends

It will not be allowed.

If you still want some feedback though, you can try advertising on a different website, or asking your friends you know in real life to help you out.

If you're still confused, could you be more specific on which rule you think it would break, so we may help clarify for you?

Hi, thanks for the reply :)

I'm asking because the post would be seen as promoting or perhaps advertising for the game as I will need to post a little about what the game is about so people can see if they'd be interested in testing it - and I'm unsure of what the rules for doing so is like here on CS. As for playing it, you have the option of logging in with your personal (FB) details, or an anonymous account so no personal information is required to be given :)

You're welcome! Always happy to help.

Advertising your, or someone else's game/website/app is perfectly okay when posting it here:
Forum/viewforum.php?f=11
That's basically what the Forum is for! (:

As long as You personally will not be collecting the personal information then everything should be fine! Especially if there is an anonymous player option to the game. It's the players choice of how to play, either logging in or not, so that's okay.

So everything should be absolutely fine for posting about the game or advertising it here. As long as all material is appropriate for CS on the game, you should have no trouble with posting it.

As said before, just make sure to post it in the correct forum (linked above), and be sure to explain what kind of feedback or discussion you're looking for from users willing to try the game!

Hope that clarifies everything. c:

Hi there,
Just to clear up any confusion, Koedega is correct that our site rules do not allow users to share personal information with one-another. This is to keep everyone safe while on CS. If you need a reference to where Koedega got that information, please refer to this post.

With that said, if the game is publicly accessible without needing additional information from users/users to login to Facebook or an App, then I don't see an issue with you posting in the Other Websites Forum to get feedback from CS users.

Where the issue arrises is when something you want people to review is set to private or login-only and you have to send a private invite link and/or require people to login to something where you can trace their CS profile back to unique personal data. The sharing of personal data is a very serious and sensitive topic - especially when it comes to things like Facebook - where people then are required to share their name/location/photos/contact information with other users because that is how their Facebook profile is set-up. For this reason, we do not allow people to link their personal Facebook pages, where images of them, their full name, etc. can be easily determined.

I hope this helps clear things up, but if not, please feel free to PM me or send in a help ticket.
