how do pets grow? by people seeing them, or by them just being there?

Pets automatically grow all by themselves, you don't have to do anything! Pets will age up by one day every 24 hours from when they were adopted (so if you adopted a pet at (random time for example) 7:53 pm, it will age up at 7:53 pm every day.) Different pets take different amounts of time to grow up - some may grow in just a few days, some may take a few weeks, but usually all pets will be adults by about a month after adoption.
