Resize the Signature Preview Suggestion -Implemented

Very old post, but I see this still hasn't been resolved, so I'm keeping it alive!

Hello! So lately I have noticed that the 'preview your signature' is a lot smaller that what it looks like in your posts and profile page. When I try to make signatures, it is extremely annoying because I like to be able to make my signature in the 'edit signature' page. Since I stopped using that, I would have to make the signature and preview it in an actual post or just save it to see that it looked like in one, because sometimes the post preview messes it up too. And when I get it right using that, I will preview it in the 'edit signature' page and it will look nothing like what it really does. My suggestion is that you resize the space where we see our signature when we are making it (AKA here) so that it matches the size of the space for our signature in our posts. I think that it would really help people with being able to make signatures.

Edit: have one other suggestion to add to this, I think it would be a good idea to have a character count while making your signature, much like the one when you go to edit your trading rules. I have previously put a lot of work into signatures only to see that it is way above the limit. I think it would be convenient just because it would tell you when you have reached the limit before you put a ton of time and work into it only to be disappointed by being told it has too many characters.

If I remember correctly, the preview page might also resize actual images? Or was that just photobucket? Probably the latter.

I have no idea why the preview page isn't sized the same as the actual user sig, and I also don't know why this hasn't been fixed before, which brings up the question if it is even fixable at all. But if it is, then I feel like this problem has quite enough importance to give it a somewhat high place on the to-do list. My opinion, staff might not agree, but it is annoying enough and relevant enough to all users on CS who post on the forums that it really should be taken care of.

I've had problems trying to redo my signature in the past because of this, and it'd be a nice thing to sort out if at all possible. Trying to make your signature in a post preview can be a bit more accurate, but is a little inconvenient, I find.

If this is a fixable problem, I would definitely support a change! c:

Signatures show in two places: on forum posts and in PMs (and full site mobile browsing is another size entirely). I believe that the size of the signature preview is closer to that of the PM view, but I'm not sure if it's exactly the same. Another problem I've noticed is that the whole signature seems to be set to a smaller size (which is probably why it is hard to format a signature in a post and then use it). For example, there is no size coding in my signature at all, but if I copy and paste the brackets you can tell that it is larger:

Here ^ it is at size 85, which I believe is the size the signature is reduced to.

I would love for this issue to be resolved, but I'm not sure if it can be, seeing how many factors are in play. I just wanted to post and bring some to light that had yet to be mentioned.

I'd also like a feature where you can see what your sig looks like not only on the forums, but also in pm's uVu Most often, my sig looks fine in the forums but horrid in pm's xD
