Uh I'm really sorry but I'm SERIOUSLY confused!! HAHAHA  Even the "Lock Alpha" confuses me ... Still. :P When I choose a color and say Lock Alpha, then color the place that's already been colored, It doesn't show.

When you look at the popup with Lock Alpha on it, you should see "Layers" and a list of names in it. The very bottom should say background or BG or something like that, correct? Scroll up until you find either "Male Color" or "Female Color".
Choose the one you want, and make sure it has a filled in circle next to it.
Say for instance you chose the female. The female one should have a filled in circle right to it. If it doesn't click the empty circle to change it to a filled in circle. Then, look at the Male's. If it has a filled in circle, click the circle. You want the circle to not be filled in.
Then, go back to the female. Make sure the entire box is highlighted in gray. Just click on it anywhere if it is not highlighted. (We are still in the layers, if your confused. There should be a box that outlines female.) Then click Lock Alpha, and then begin coloring.
Are you still confused with Lock Alpha?

Okay...do you know how to take screenshots? That way we might be able to see what's wrong.

First, locate "Print Screen/Prnt Scrn" (or something similar) on your keyboard. Press that. Then open MS Paint, click paste (or hit CTRL + V). If nothing comes up and you're using laptop, you might have to press "Fn-key" at the same time with "Prt Scrn".

Once you've succesfully captured the image to MS Paint, save it, then upload it to an image hosting site like http://photobucket.com or http://tinypic.com, and give us the url for the image. :]

MS paint is a base-standrd art program that comes with microscoft. If you go to 'start', you will probaly find it on your computer somewhere.
