I thing it's annoying when you think you're getting a pm and all you got is a message from your pet.

That's what happens when you trade away pets you got from the pound. They're supposed to be adopted to be 'given permanent homes', not traded away, hence why you receive a sad message from them.

These poor pets are here because they've had a hard life already, so please only adopt them if you're going to take good care of them! If for whatever reason you no longer want your pet, send him back to username "Pound".

The message is sent to deter people from trading pets that they get from the pound so the message will not be going away any time soon.
