Automaticly cancelled trades

When you make a trade for pets from a CS user and then another player asks for the same pets, one trade gets accepted so the other one is automaticly canncelled. But if you have items then when one trade is accepted the items are no longer avalible but your trade dosn't get automaticly canncelled why?
(This trade was automatically cancelled because one of the pets in the trade was moved or deleted.) : it says a pet was removed but why cant it do the same for an item??

It's because if the same automatical cancel-feature was implemented for items, the trades would get automatically cancelled if you put an item (that was in a trade) on a pet.
I think they might be thinking of a way to make this work better, though.
