Free Forum Software, help?

So basically I'm looking for some free forum software which is easy to use for someone familiar with computers, but not with programming. I do have a couple of people who can help me set it up, but I'd like to be confident that I can cope with most problems without asking them. Currently I'm looking at five different choices:

• Advanced Electron Forum
• bbPress
• phpBB
• punBB
• Simple Machines Forum

So bbPress looks alright, but I really have no idea about the specifications they are listing, so that is hardly an informed guess.

I think phpBB is good, I've mucked with forums before and I think that's what I used, although it was a very long time ago. Just play around with it for a while until you get it looking like what you want it to

Yea. phpBB is the best in my opinion. It's secure and there's a lot of modifications you can add to it

I've used several message boards before, and phpBB will always be my favourite. Highly customisable and has an active official forum where you can find information, help, etc, if needed.
